The Integrated System for the management of the Diagnosis and Therapy process was born from the experience of BeForPharma researchers in response to the Innonetwork call. It was carried out within the Nuclear Medicine Department of Policlinico di Bari, with field work in collaboration between the E-result software programmers and the medical and paramedical staff of the department. The multidisciplinary team worked to analyze current treatment and diagnosis procedures, grasp the needs of the entire process and respond to the challenge of immediately improving the relationship between patient and hospital.
The objective of the Initiative (Title IV) is to increase the competitiveness of SMEs by developing new business models for internationalisation. The Beforpharma project is focused on conducting feasibility studies to expand its business in certain sectors of the world radiopharmaceutical market by exploiting the professionalism of highly specialized consultants thanks to the financial resources made available with the initiative of the Puglia Region.
The project activities are centered and proceed on the development of management methodologies to market the new devices for monitoring bio-functional parameters (such as glucose, creatinine, bisphophonates, metals) of interest in the management of users with congestive decompensation, osteogenesis imperfecta, chronic kidney disease with probable mild cognitive impairment and full-blown neurodegenerative diseases.
The project activities are focused and proceed on the development and validation of the production lines of new radiopharmaceutical molecules developed starting from interactive platforms able to collect a large number of information, already available in scientific literature on the cascade of events, receptors and ligands, involved in some diseases, such as breast cancer, with the aim of identifying possible patentable molecules able to bind to a radionuclide for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
