Opportunity for Senior Scientist – Uniba and Beforpharma

ONE 2-5 years SENIOR SCIENTIST OPPORTUNITY in Biotechnology and Bio-Radiopharmaceuticals for Cancer Therapy in collaboration with Department of Bioscience, Biotechnology and Environment, University of Bari Aldo Moro and BeForPharma Srl – ITALY

The Department of Bioscience, Biotechnology and Environment (DBBE) at University of Bari Aldo Moro is an interdisciplinary research and educational center with activities aimed to scientific and technological innovation of processes for the valorization, management, and protection of biological systems. Main activities of DBBB are microbial, plant and animal biotechnology, computational biology, drug discovery, functional genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic analysis.

Founded in 2014, BeForPharma is an innovative company (PMI), specialized in radiopharmaceutical research and manufacturing. BeForPharma provides services to radiopharmaceutical multinationals and nuclear medicine facilities, as well as public and private hospitals. It has been collaborating actively with international partners in nuclear medicine field and has successfully managed several projects abroad. Currently, the Company is developing several ambitious projects aimed to increase access to radiotheranostic. In 2023, Beforpharma was granted a national patent for its Ga-68 PSMA cold kit technology.

The position is focused on the development of novel antibody-based radiopharmaceuticals for cancer therapy other than diagnosis. Applicants would likely have a PhD in field of cancer therapy and diagnosis with skills in antibodies production. Applicants must be under 35 years old. Previous experience in the field of drug discovery, pharmaceutical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology and GMP environment is a great plus. Skills in project management are strongly required. Fluent English is a must. The successful applicant will be involved in an international and collaborative working environment. He/she will join a dynamic and multidisciplinary group at the DBBE and at the innovative BeForPharma laboratories under construction.
